  1. 1989 Nissan 180sx

Would really love to swap this for a non turbo s chassis (s13, 180sx, s14, s15), but if I get no offers for swaps I will sell it. Some details about the car include: - CA18DET - Manual - 200,000km - Unregistered. Has a permit until 26/05/17 - KKR 330 turbo - ARC side mount intercooler - Digital HUD with original windscreen - S15 5 stud conversion (arms, hubs, calipers, slotted rotors) - Mongoose M80 alarm system - Electronic boost controller - ULTM Turbo timer - Matrix boost gauge - Fair few bushes have been changed throughout the car with polyurethane replacements, including castor bushes, front LCA bushes, and rear subframe bushes and probably more that I'm missing. - Front end and boot has all been resprayed with anti-rust. Recently comp tested the engine and it produced healthy numbers of 150, 145, 147 and 150. If you have any questions please message me on 0423113432
  2. For sale - Incredibly clean Civic Coupe

For Sale : Immaculate Honda Civic Coupe. As far as we can remember in modern civilisation history, human beings have been fascinated by the idea of time-travel. A feat that has evaded us unfortunately, but you have now your chance to get a good feel of what 1996 was like by driving a honda civic couple that feels like you have just driven it out of the Honda dealership! All jokes aside , this car is COMPLETELY stock and COMPLETELY unmolested. Factory alloys, factory body, factory everything apart from the pioneer head unit. This 5 speed manual transmission is in an amazing condition paired with a clutch so forgiving that a 5 year old could drive it with no difficulty. Factory sound system is more than enough to jam to whatever 90's boy band was your favourite. Now, for my favourite part... FULL SERVICE HISTORY! thats right... 20 years worth of paper trail showing every service ... and not even 1 was missed. It also matches the full car history report of owners.. which have been 4 in total. Engine starts better than my g o d dammned audi which is 18 years newer (and the reason why the audi is now gone). Not all is peaches and cream however, with its understandable show of age in its paint but nothing too major apart from a couple of scratches and very minimal paint fade. Don't miss your chance to own a great car in it's full factory greatness, or a completely blank canvas to turn it into a vehicle you will be able to enjoy for another 20 years and pass it down to your great grand children because these cars are indestructable. Alternatively try and find another 2 to start jacking trucks with your mates fast and furious style. 1 years full rego and green slip! That's right A FULL YEAR! Please contact me on 0466250011 for any enquiries and/or to arrange an inspection SMS ONLY. You will not be disappointed. Thank you for taking the time to check my add out and I hope we can find this amazing car a good home.

  10. Unfortunately, the time has come to sell my VR4 Galant. I've recently bought a second car as a daily, so the Galant rarely gets driven anymore, and I unfortunately can't afford to keep both cars. Would love to keep the Galant as its an amazing car, but it only gets driven once or twice a fortnight, and I hate seeing it sitting there going to waste! I am just the second owner in Australia. The previous owner was a man in his 40's who treated the car with utmost care, as I have continued to do. It is imported from Tokyo where they do not salt the roads (as is common practice in most parts of Japan), so there is no underbody rust at all. Specs: 6A13TT 2.5L Twin Turbo V6 engine Facelift model. 122,000 kms. Factory manual (rare!) Pearl white paint (looks amazing in the sunlight). Modifications: Engine: - Fujistubo Legalis R 3" stainless steel exhaust (within legal noise limit) - Walbro 255 fuel pump - Evo VIII MR BOV - GReddy FMIC - K&N pod filter - Iridium sparkplugs Wheels/Brakes/Suspension: - Non-AYC diff (AYC diffs are notorious for having troubles) - 18x8.5 Volk Racing TE37's (genuine!) - RDA slotted brake rotors - Tein Super Street height-adjustable coilovers Interior & I.C.E: - Hi-vis dash - Carbon dash surround (non-woodgrain) - Replaced all interior lights with white LEDs - Factory Galant floormats - Australian standards compliant alarm & immobiliser - Kenwood headunit with AUX/iPod compatibility - Boost gauge Exterior: - Pearl white paint - Factory weathershields - Factory rear spoiler - Darkest legal tint (35%) - Clear side indicators - Bonnet struts The alarm/immobiliser was professionally installed by H T Car Audio & Security (receipt will be provided). Religiously serviced by Jon at Driven Motorsport every 5,000kms. All mechanical maintenance and modifications have been performed by Driven Motorsport. Major service was completed as soon as I bought the car, at 102,000kms. (includes water pump, timing belt, seals etc) Never been in an accident, always garaged and washed/polished regularly. All import documents and all service receipts and any other relevant documents will be included with sale. Registration til March 2015. Price is $10,800.
  11. Hi guys had a few silvias and 180's in my time but only recently decided to start a build thread: I purchased my stock standard unregistered 1989 ca18de auto Qs series S13 for $1800 (probably too much), It had been sitting for around 2 years, was in average condition body wise but the underneath was straight and clean, was running rough and the guy i bought it of told me the auto stalled. I picked up the keys went and bought a new battery and it started first shot too the sellers surprise, i drove it home (10 minute drive) with absolutely no problems other than the auto holding gears for too long. Being a P Plater i didn't want to go turbo, My plans were to just chuck a manual box in and some coilers and put it on club rego. The car club i joined was an hours drive from my house, which is were all the problems arose. Because the car had been sitting for so long the petrol was obviously going to be foul, the fuel gage was just above empty so i thought id just top up instead of draining it, After I filled up with petrol and stopped at the next set of lights the revs were dropping and the car would shake as if it was about to stall, from there on overtime i had to stop or slow down the car would stall, so for the rest of the drive id brake with my left foot while accelerating with my right foot trying to keep the car going (was very stressful). Got to the car club they looked over it gave me the paperwork and of i went to Vicroads to pickup my plates. Left the car at my mums house not wanting to drive it because it was stuffed, looked around for a CA18 manual or even bell housing with no luck (I'm very impatient). I found a few sr20de and box combos but no one would separate them, so i was contemplating just doing an sr conversion, but my daily is an n/a s15 and i wanted something different to that. After looking all over the internet I came across a guy who had a smashed r33 gts rb25de manual that had taken a front left hit, it was in a towing yard and had been for 3 weeks, he wanted $1500 for it but ended up giving it to me for the price of the towing and storage fee roughly $800. I had the r33 towed to my mates shop Australian Speed And Custom where it sat up back and we gutted it to a bare shell within the week, I kept what I needed for the rb swap, sold whatever I could then I scraped the rest. Had pretty much brand new HSD coilovers which I traded to Elliot the shop owner who was doing the conversion for his labour. Next was removing the ca and auto, sold that straight away, then put the r33 cross member and steering rack in. Cross member was out by a few mm probably slightly bent from the accident so we slotted the mounting holes and made it fit. I traded the brake setup (4 stud) for a 52 mm r33 rad. Put the RB25DE in and realised the bonnet wouldn't shut, the new radiator also wouldn't fit as it was too high. Did some reading and found that and r32 cross member will sit the engine lower and further back, out came the hammer to massage the tunnel as the bell housing was now touching it, After "massaging: the tunnel the motor and box now fit and the bonnet would shut. Also had Elliot make up a custom gearbox mount. Found a guy on the drift sales page on Facebook who had a Type X and wanted to swap for an s13 front so I jumped all over that and chucked it straight on the guards had a few dents and the brackets holding the bar were missing but a few cable ties later and it all fit up nicely. Next was waiting for the auto elec to come wire it up so the motor had a full service, after the custom loom was done, it was time to test if it all worked.... it didn't, the engine was cranking but it would not start. There was spark, there was fuel in the rail and the injectors were pulsing, but it just wouldn't start. Changed the fuel pump to an r33 pump to see if that was the problem, still not working. Pulled the rail out replaced injectors, but they still weren't squirting. Had the auto elec come back in and check everything, 3 hours later realised the injectors weren't getting a full 12v power so he took power from elsewhere cranked the motor and it started! But the water pump was leaking so ordered a new one. next was getting the clutch to work, put the skyline pedal box in after some customising to make it all fit, only to find that the clutch pedal would foul out on the floor and not pull the master all the way making the pedal not spring back. Tracked down an s13 clutch setup and chucked it in and now its working correctly. Water pump that was purchased doesn't line up correctly so have had to order another one, which hopefully will come tomorrow. Front sway bar hits sump so have purchased a 3 way adjustable whiteline bar that apparently fits, will (update when installed) I purchased som JIC coilovers cheap but have decided not to use them as the rears are not base height adjustable and i want to be able to fiddle around adjusting them to suit the new feel of the car, I also would prefer brand new ones anyway. So when I get my new coilers ill put in the full hard race arm setup I've got and go for a wheel alignment. As this car is going to be a street car I don't want to make it stand out too much so will sit just below legal height and won't go to crazy with camber and toe, but being N/A ill need it to be stiff to get it sideways. I know the car isn't legal for a P plater let alone anyone, but my thoughts are its not turbo and as long as i don't get pulled over by someone who knows the difference between an rb and ca i should be fine. will post up some pics and more info soon i didn't take many as i wasn't going to do a build thread but thought id share it since if you search rb25de s13 all there is is hate about it and people saying its a waste of money.... well this build has cost me around 3k including car, rego, engine, gear box, edu, custom loom, full hard race arms, add roughly 1000-1500 for coilovers and its under 5k for everything. oh and I'm a panel beater so ill be painting it millennium jade free of charge, so to me it seems like a pretty mean streater under 5k and when the time comes for a turbo everything is ready for an RBxxdet to drop straight in
  12. Hey hey, Up for sale is my '89 '200sx' according to the rear glass. So she's had a bitta rough loving and one day when I was minding my own merging onto the highway some jackass rammed up her ass in his neat little BMW. Long story short, he was unlicensed, uninsured and I ain't no one gonna pay for the damage. The car has repairable rear end damage, the rear RH chassis rail is slightly bent, fuel tank is busted, RH rear quarter is folded a tad and the whole rear boot assembly/internal bumper will basically need replacing if you ever want it road worthy. I was quoted $3.5k to have it back to road worthy, but then the pearl paint is another story. Other than that, she goes like a cut snake. Parts include, 2 Front doors Steering wheel An interior Power windows Busted A/C, fans gone loco (But it's the fancy digital one) Some colourful headunit, a stereo and some speakers in custom white vinyl. And the usual shit you'd expect Engine- SR20DET Greddy TD06 Turbo Front Mount of some sort Apexi PowerFC and Hand Controller Apexi AVC-R Boost controller Dual 2.5 inch exhaust and possible extractors, who knows. 5 of the floor transmission Suspension and that f**ked - Yeah she's rooted. Coilovers were taking out and some other shitters put in and now she's a bit bouncy R200 casing with some sort of LSD, yeah the one with the fancy fins on it. All I know is when you plant it she likes to go sideways Wheels- 18x10 and 18x9 true 3 piece deep dish rare as f**k rims, forgot the brand but they go alright. Exterior- Custom widened rear quarters Fibreglass widebody front quarters Smoked tail lights Some fancy mirrors Rear glass that says "200sx" HID bulbs, still f**king useless though I couldn't be bothered to have a closer look at the car for particulars but if you are interested in anything throw me a line and I'll take a gander. Asking price is $7k neg. coz I can. If I can't get what I want I will be parting it out. Looking to swap for a clean BMW e30 2 door or CASH. No f**king commo's or dirt bikes. Get f**ked. And NO you can't come and have a f**king look. Cash money or f**k off. You can get me on here or call me on 0404 27 00 94 Oh and I am located in Brisbane
  13. Wanting some more kws out of the Silvia but it is n/a, it has bigger cams and injectors at the moment but I'm just wondering if there is much more you can do to it. Want to get it up to around 150kw. Any Ideas ?? Cheers
  14. Hi guys I'm looking for a Manual steering rack, does anyone have a suggestion as for where I can get one? Atomic Rex in the UK used to do one, however they have gone under Another option is a custom steering rack from unisteeer: http://www.unisteer.com/custom-built-rack-pinions/custom-unisteer-rack-and-pinion.html Going into my track only S15. Reasons for swapping include simplicity and more room in the engine bay Cheers
  15. Up for sale is S15 Silvia/200SX manual ecu adm. Chasing $130
  16. Super Fast and Ready to turn heads! Here we have a 6-speed manual Spec-R import with LOADS of work done to it and lots of power to show for it. This car was (and still is) my baby and I have taken immense care of it and have spent time and money on everything under the bonnet to achieve roughly 250rwkw. Every aftermarket part is brand name high performance from the wheels to the fuel injectors, they're all Japanese or American parts. Reason for selling? I've had my fun! Time for me to sell my beast to someone else who will appreciate it. I'll get myself something a little slower to replace her. Modifications you say? This car is highly modified like most Japanese imports you see.. that's the fun part of owning these vehicles. I'll list what's been done: First and foremost, FULL TURBO-BACK 3-INCH TITANIUM EXHAUST. Custom Dump pipe to front pipe to HKS High Flow cat and then rear pipe to cannon tip. Like I said, custom spec Titanium all the way. Garret 2871R Ball Bearing Turbo (awesome snail!) Greddy Front mount Intercooler 620CC Fuel Injectors Bosch 044 Fuel Pump Custom Exhaust manifold Greddy B-Spec II Boost controller Power FC ECU Tomeii Camshafts Tomeii Pod Filter Buddy Club Japan Super Street Coilover suspension 18inch Work Emotion Japan Kiwami rims The tyres are Bridgestone racing style tyres that will need to be FLIPPED but have a decent amount of tread left. The way the car is set up with the coilovers and larger wheels really shows off the natural camber of the S15 and the downside is that the rear tyres will wear quickly on the innerside and need to be flipped when the car is being servived. The Interior is pretty clean, I tend to vacuum it often enough and Armour guard the dash and trim to keep it looking shiny. Downside to the interior is a couple of the Air conditioner vents decided to break, so you can either keep them closed or manually open them. The center console lid is also broken and is something which I never had repaired as it was never a priority. I had the clutch pad replaced around 30,000km ago. To be 100% honest this is the next thing to have 'upgraded' on the car again. It makes a lot of power and the clutch cops all the power, so it's something to keep in mind. There's a couple of very minor scratches and dents, so it's not totally perfect but this was my daily drive for a solid two years and when the car is exposed to the elements and other drivers you never know what's going to happen. I have only used 98 Octane petrol in the car, and literally only twice have I used anything other than BP Ultimate and that was when I was out in the country. This car has been professionally tuned on 98 Octane fuel and I strongly suggest the next owner only uses BP Ultimate. The previous owner also only used BP Ultimate. So I'll say it again, only use BP Ultimate! The car has been serviced like clockwork every 5,000 (or so) kilometers and the oils used have been Royal Purple and more recently Castrol Edge titanium. That's all I have to say really, the car hasn't been used for anything dodgy, absolutely no track work or 'illegal drifting' but she has been put through her paces through the Adelaide Hills on occasion (and performed like a champion!) but that's upto you, the buyer, to believe. Any more questions, please post them in this thread or send me a PM. My name is Paul and you can contact me on 0401 026 811. I live in the North Eastern Suburbs of Adelaide near Klemzig Interchange. Usual Disclaimer; Please don't waste my time, if you're interested and want to have a look then that's great but if you want to look with no intention of even making an offer then I really don't have the time for that.
  17. Hello all, I'm a long time member here, but i have not posted anything for a very long time. I have a 1992 S13 that i've owned for about 14-15 years. I'm the first person to own it in Australia, but unfortunately its been very un loved over the last 5 years. A combination of personal issues, lack of funds, motivation.. you name it, seen this car go unused for a long time. I really wish i had the money and time to devote to it now, but i simply don't have the money and i've lost my interest in cars. The car has been kept under a veranda, but the afternoon sun has managed to do its nasty on the dash and the paint. The roof is probably the worst affected, with the clear coming off in quite a few places, but for someone with the time and skill, it wouldn't be too hard to fix. The dash just needs a mat to cover it up. I'll try to list everything that's been done to the car and what's included. Its been a very long time since i played with it though, so i might forget a few things. I'll update the post later if i think of anything. Engine & Gearbox: Stock, very nice low km's SR20DET fitted. Genuine 90,000 km's. Mines computer. EXeddy 500hp button clutch. Short shift kit. Blitz blow off valve. ARC Aluminum Airbox. Large Hybrid intercooler kit. Fuel pump upgraded to RB20 Turbo spec pump. Modified 3" Apexi exhaust system. Cat is a high performance Tanabe Cat. I have another very large Jun style muffler that i had planned to fit. Its a huge canon with a trumpet tip. I never got around to fitting it, so it comes with both. Suspension, Brakes & Wheels: 5 bolt hubs. R32 4-Piston Calipers on front, with DBA slotted rotors. R33 2-piston calipers on rear. (Whole R33 kframewas fitted) Front and rear calipers reconditioned with new kits and painted gold and red like R34 Brembos. Larger master cylinder fitted. Adjustable rear upper arms. Adjustable caster arms. Heavy Duty adjustable tie rods. Front Camber adjustment plates. Front and Rear Strut Braces Tanabe Sustec Pro Coilovers. Very low and very hard, but the handling is worth it. Its like a go kart! Car is currently fitted with standard stuts. R32 GTS-T wheels, powdercoated gunmetal grey (x4). Two of these are on the front. R32 GT-R wheels (x2) on back, these are powdercoated the same color. Spare front pads included. Interior: Blitz BL Black Light Oil Pressure Gauge Blitz BL Black Light Water Temp Gauge, both mounted in an A-pillar pod. Blitz digital Boost Gauge + Turbo Timer Digital LCD Climate Control (nice bonus from the front cut) Addzest Max2255 double din head unit. Nice classic japanese unit. Recaro recliner passenger seat. Recaro Fixed bucket for Driver. (not fitted, need to modify rails) Toms Racing Harnesses for driver. Comes with standard seats too. Original plush Nissan silvia floor mats as well, which is nice. Exterior: Carbon fiber motorbike style mirrors. GT-R style vented grille. Nissan factory side skirts and front lip extension. I have no way of verifying, but the man i bought the car off told me they came off a genuine Nissan Factory Sileighty!! Pretty darn cool if its true. He didn't seem like the type to make it up. Front lip has seen much better days. Fiberglass copy of a Vertex front bar. This is not fitted or painted. Body is very straight with just a couple of very small dimples here and there. There are a few scuff marks on the boot lid where a duck-tail spoiler was fitted. There is no rust patches on the car. Only the odd stone chip that's got a bit of light surface rust on it. A good clean anda cut and polish will do wonders for the finish, but a respray will be needed to really bring her back to life. The colour is midnight blue with a light purple pearl through it in the right light. I'm sorry for the cheeky "just washed" photos. I was going to shammy it off to show the paint issues better, but it started raining before i finished taking the photos anyway. I'll take some more when its dry to show the problem areas. I'll provide the car with a REVS check to prove the car has no Encumbrance (finance), no stolen records and no written off records. Also a Vic Roads check that proves no outstanding defects, warrants or fines. The car is very much driveable, but not right now. The back right tyre is knackered and shitty stripped lock nuts from all the wheels were removed, so its missing a nut on each wheel. The seats need to be bolted back in, and a very compact battery is needed, as the new intercooler pipes leave no room for a regular small battery. She starts no problem and runs beautiful, and would not take a motivated person with a little bit of time and cash to get it back on the road. $5000 Car is located in Bendigo Victoria. Please PM me for more info or contact details. Cheers.
  18. automatic s13

hey guys, Ive found a really good silvia s13 on the market, this is like my dream car. perfect condition and all, although it is auto. And was just wondering wether it will still be as fun as a manual, I wont be using it for drifting or whatever.
  19. Ok so I know this has been done to death, and im not asking for another guide, already done a search and found a few good ones. All I need is some more specific opinions. So my sr20de s13 transmission finally died today, something ive more or less expected over the last 2 years. Pretty sure it was the torque converter seal, absolutely dumped its fluid all over the road from the bellhousing and lost all transfer of power from the engine to the wheels. From research ive done it looks like this repair ballparks in the $1300 region. So naturally this resparked the idea of converting to manual for me like just about everyone has seemed to consider at one point or another. My only hesitation is that I was already planning an upgrade in a year or so and didn't really want to spend the money/time if I didnt have to. So my real qurstions are: what do you guys think would be the best option/ price difference? Also curious who our there has a conversion kit spare and how much? Also anyone who can possibly do it for me and costs involved ? (Not afraid or opposed to giving it a go myself but would rather know it was done right if possible) I should add im in vic aswell i spose. Ty!
  20. Hey guys just have some questions here in regards to choosing my first silvia. Sorry if this is in the wrong section! Alright, im currently looking to buy a silvia s13. But here in perth, (decent and cheap) s13s are becoming extremely difficult to come by. Im looking to spend less than 3500. The plans/objectives for the car will just be a clean turbo/manual daily driver that i can enjoy and have fun in (No track use). There are 4 choices as you all know (from factory) are: - turbo/ manual - turbo/auto - non turbo/manual - and the worst of the bunch - auto/non turbo I would MAYBE do a manual/T swap IF i chose auto/NA later on.. but that means more $$$ and im very unsure about any legality issues that would arise by swapping the factory sh1t out (yellow sticker??). the best option is to obvs go manual/turbo but they are simply so bloody hard to find for that price, the same can go for the manual/NA sometimes. there are some cheap auto/NA's around but that means more work and $$ in the future. is it really worth it??? and alot of these auto/NA's are unrego'ed aswell, which makes it even more difficult to chose if its cheap... i really dont know what to do haha, what do you guys recommend i really look for? are there gonna be any legal troubles if i choose a Non Turbo/auto and eventually do a Manual T conversion?? or is the only real option to wait and keep looking for a NON AUTO...? ps. im not a P plater lol and i havent really done an engine swap before! thanks guys
  21. Hey, seeking help from someone able to translate a small instruction manual that is in Japanese? They are instructions for my s15 oem window visors. I'm pretty sure i can fit them but i just want to know of any hints and pointers that are in the manual, especially for removal. If you can help, pm me your email and I can send copies of the manual Thanks!
  22. Hey guys... Just wondering if anyone knows anyone round the Melbourne area or any workshops who do auto to manual conversion? Thanks

  24. Auto License, manual car.

When I was looking for a s13 I struggled to find a factory manual sr20de, most people understand my pain. Anyway I came by an auto one which was too perfect to let go so I ended up buying that and decided to just get it converted. I have an auto license but soon I'll have a manual car. How do you practice for manual if you have an auto license? Does this mean I put my Learner plates up? Anyone have experience with this?
