Hey Guys,

After much discussion we have decided to implement a feature to hopefully help a lot of you keep track of the topics you have been involved in!

*auto notification*

Why?

Example 1 :
You post a set of wheels for sale and they never selll..... 3 months later someone replies going "hey you still got those wheels i will buy them right now" ... but you never find out , because you never going to go back to a 3 month old thread that has had no activity. (especially if you dont check the site every day)
With Auto-Notification, you will receive an email alerting you that someone has replied to your thread!

To implement this properly we have had to make a bulk change to all members settings.

This auto notification feature works really well if you manage your "watched" topics, please see the below pic to see how to do this!

If you DO NOT want this feature, we have provided steps how to turn it off (further down)

+1 ive got some lame subscription on a honda forum i havent removed in years, luckily nobody replies in it often LOL.

trust me i know!

it can be an annoying feature for members that use the site daily / members that reply to tonnes of posts...

that said, i find it one of the handiest features on sites i dont check regularly since i dont have time to check them all manually!~

if you check the settings though it is completely customizable so yeah.... set it up how you like!

does it notify us whenever a thread that we posted in gets a reply, or is it only replies for threads that we made ourselves?

If the latter, then that's pretty good.

No, at the moment it is for all threads that you participate in.

If it's easy though we will code in the feature which will allow the choice between the two. (I can see how this would be handy for regular users, without being annoying)

Can it be set up to PM instead of email?

Nah unfortunely that would put too much load on the database with new pms for every reply it would mulch the servers

Nice one loz i was going to PM you today asking why every time some one posted i got a email. but in other fourms i get one email says there is a new post in a topic even if there was 100.
